2025 Honda CB1000 Hornet: Specs, Price, and Full Review

2025 Honda CB1000 Hornet Naked Bike Streetfighter Honda Motorcycle

Honda has officially unleashed the king of its Hornet family: the 2025 Honda CB1000 Hornet. This all-new liter-class naked bike storms into the highly competitive streetfighter segment, armed with a legendary engine, a sophisticated electronics suite, and brutally sharp styling. It's designed to be the flagship performer, building on the success of the smaller CB750 Hornet and elevating the nameplate to new heights of power and aggression.

Fireblade-Derived Powerplant

The heart of the CB1000 Hornet is a retuned version of the 999cc inline-four engine from the 2017-2019 CBR1000RR Fireblade. Honda's engineers focused on delivering thrilling real-world performance, producing a claimed peak power of over 110kW (147.5 hp) and more than 100Nm (73.7 lb-ft) of torque. This engine is tuned for a strong and linear power delivery across the rev range, ensuring exhilarating acceleration out of corners and effortless overtakes. A standard slip/assist clutch reduces lever effort and prevents rear-wheel hop during aggressive downshifts, enhancing rider control.

Advanced Electronics and Rider Aids

To manage its formidable power, the CB1000 Hornet is equipped with a comprehensive electronics package governed by a Throttle By Wire (TBW) system. It features three default riding modes (Sport, Standard, Rain) plus a customizable User mode. These modes adjust power delivery, engine braking, and the 3-level Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) to suit conditions and rider preference. All information is displayed on a crisp, 5-inch full-color TFT screen, which also includes Honda RoadSync smartphone connectivity for on-the-go navigation, calls, and music.

Aggressive Chassis and Streetfighter Ergonomics

The CB1000 Hornet is built on an all-new steel twin-spar frame, designed for a blend of high-speed stability and agile handling. The suspension setup is top-notch, featuring a Showa 41mm Separate Function Fork-Big Piston (SFF-BP) USD fork, adjustable for rebound and spring preload. At the rear, a Showa monoshock operates through a Pro-Link system. Braking is handled by dual radial-mount four-piston calipers biting down on 310mm floating discs at the front. The riding position is classic streetfighter: aggressive and slightly forward-canted, with wide handlebars offering excellent leverage for quick directional changes, making it a master of urban environments and twisty backroads.
